Painting a bone dragon

Introduction

I took on this bad boy after taking him to the Storm King's Thunder campaign post-season finale dragon fight, but failed to use to it. An impressive model with a rather simple paintjob? Count me in.

Repainting a Herald of Tzeentch

Introduction

I acquired this painted Changecaster, Herald of Tzeentch during my early eBay days. The original plan was to magnetize it to either a regular base or a disc of Tzeentch. I did that by drilling 3 1mm magnets into the flames. It was way too weak to properly hold, however. I used the model a couple of times, but it mostly languished in the closet. I decided on finally fixing it to a base, also upping the paintjob in the process.

Proof of Concept - Lava bases

Introduction

I tried lava before, but I was never truly pleased. This is another iteration, with some other nefarious purposes in mind for later on.

Painting more Nazgûls using Citadel Contrast - Black Templar

Introduction

Due to a serious lack of hobby time lately, I decided on a string of low-effort projects. Given that the test run was acceptable, I took the best result (on a white basecoat) and decided to paint the remaining Nazgûls.

Painting process: everything exactly the same as for the other guys, except I used Lamenter's Yellow on the sword for variety.

Painting an elf sorceress

Introduction

Time to upgrade a DnD character miniature. While the paintjob is nice, it's an eBay find and so not done by me, and perhaps not on par with the rest of them. The new miniature is Anthanelle, elf wizard made in Reaper Bones Black (no official link yet).

Storm King's part 30 - Rest is overrated

Solid seems to miss his mount, Stella, so while we try to rest he summons her just in case. If nothing else, this was the perfect time to get a horse.

We leave the caves and go outside the canyon to rest near the warning statue. While some of us read, others make jokes and the rest laugh. We missed this great times in our adventures.

Storm King's part 29 - Above the Eagle's Nest

As we pass by the destroyed areas we reach a canyon entrance with two imposing statues that have their hands pointing out like they are trying to say HALT!!!

Mighty adventurers are not afraid of such warnings and deeper into the canyon we go.
