Rugged wasteland base

Glue on chopped up pieces of cork in the larger spaces, posing as large rocks. Sprinkle smaller rocks in between.

Basecoat in reddish brown.

Heavy brown drybrush.

Black wash in the recesses and at ground level.

Overall wash with Agrax Earthshade.

Brown edge highlight. This concentrates mostly on the larger rocks, but a few smaller ones get the treatment too. Apply it overall for an even look.

Slight bonewhite edge highlight, just on the tip of the larger rocks.
