Painting leathery wing/membrane

Basecoat Tan.

Wash Carroburg Crimson.

Glaze highlight Tan. On smaller surfaces with more ridges, do line or edge highlights, or even drybrushing.

Multiple steps for the following highlights. First, glaze highlight Heavy Skintone (skip on smaller surfaces). Then use a fine brush and flick it along the wings to create lines. These are not really visible, so I did it again using Elf Skintone.

If the surface is textured, further highlight the edges or apply a lighter drybrush.

Do this on large wings only. Dilute Heavy Violet to a glaze consistency, and draw veins on the membrane. It is barely visible from a distance, but clearly distinguishable up close.
