Oh, the Lannisters. Oh, double Casterly Rock Honour Guard. Oh the game. At least I didn't have to play the double lance cavalry Stark list. Let's see how the squishy objective holders take the arrows in Honed and Ready.
Round one went by with just positioning. At least the infantry isn't that super mobile and I can dance around a bit.
Apparently the arrows also hurt the 4+ Lannister units, which I was happy for. Shadowcat doing Shadowcat things. I left Mag for last and marched him up the board, ready for mischief.
Tywin bomb! Varamyr dies. Rip points. Also the wolves get turned off. Sigh.
Well what can I do. Turned off the Honour Guard for one turn and charged Mag in. Did some damage. On their turn they healed up and one-shot the King. Double Sigh.
At least they couldn't attack again due to Mance's influence ability, and I nickel-and-dime-d them off the board. Not a trade I was happy with.
At this point I was a bit ahead, so just stall and take points.
Last activation literally ended on the 15 minute timer, so we started the last round. Possible game winning charge but the Honor Guard could not roll 5+.
Wolves blocked charges into my weakened Giant. Wolves died to crossbows but I had enough time to bounce the Giant around with NCUs to avoid getting hit.
Game ended 11-9 to the Free Folk. One more round and I'd have been tabled.
