Painting and fixing up Stark heroes and cavalry

Last commission of 2025: a bunch of Starks to beautify.

Light grey horse

There was actually one guy not painted so time to experiment with a light horse color scheme.

Prime Grey Seer.

Paint all over 2:1 diluted Gryph Charger Grey.

Drybrush Grey Seer.

Paint the mane and tail Gryph Charger Grey. Do small dots as the dapple effect on the neck near the mane.

Blue experiments

Basecoat the cloak and horse cloth Asurmen Blue, then coat with diluted Celestium Blue. Basecoat the pants Nighthaunt Gloom.

Edge the dark blue Magic Blue, the pants Wolf Grey.

Thinner Electric Blue highlights.

Finishing the unpainted model

Brown fur cloak, Light leatherBlack boots, white facial hair, medium skintonemetallic arms and armor.

Painting horses

The horses were painted all in different shades of yellow and brown.

Unify the yellow horses with an overbrush of Desert Yellow. That did not make much difference so do it again with Heavy Goldbrown.

Coat Aggaros Dunes. Highlight Khaki.

Attempt the same on the brown horses by overbrushing Earth.

Highlight Khaki, a bit too stark (hue hue hue).

Coat Agrax Earthshade.

Paint the hooves and eyes Black Templar.

Beautifying Starks

Follow the steps laid out here.

Some were a bit too unpainted, but I managed to fix them up using Contrast paints.

Others were quite OK, and I could start with the Nuln Oil bath.

The girls were already well painted, but I'm guessing they weren't varnished, as the paint was flaking off at the raised areas. I redid the highlights on the dresses and repainted the skin. Also they needed basing.

Thus finishing everything.

Stark bases for everybody.

Finished!
