Converting and painting Free Folk Raiders

After the Thenns and Followers of Bone, I had all the tools out to make unique Raiders as well.

Banner conversions 

These guys have no banner bearer unlike the Thenns, so improvise. Drill through the hands.

Pin some chopped up spear shafts to the hands.

This width of shaft (I think from the GW zombies kit) makes a great fit with Chaos Marauder banners.

Cover up the joint with green stuff fur streamers.

Weapon conversions and green stuff fur

Nothing new as far as techniques go. Bits used: Chaos Marauder shields...

...various close combat weapons from the bits box...

... and plenty of green stuff fur.

Painting

More of the same: slapchop, Ice base and medium skintone. These guys have faces and hands showing.

Then paint the mammoth skull symbol on the banners. First in white, by which I mean Ghost Grey...

...and highlight white. Use the same for face paint on the bearer.

Paint it using Bloody Red on the lighter banner, and as face paint on the bearer. Highlight the banner design by mixing in Pale Flesh (because I had it on the wet palette).

Corroded bronze and Rusty metal on any metal weapons/shields.

Face paint on any visible faces.

Movement trays

I did not want super fancy trays for the Raiders, but I thought to make some for the Cave Dwellers and Spearwives, and have the Raiders on their simple trays instead.
