Painting Scout Sentinels

After all the conversion and LED work, I was absolutely through with these models. Only tried and tested techniques here. 

Painting 

Prime black. Wrap the streetlights as well as the interiors with the battery in painter's tape.

Start with the base, as it has the messy drybrushing parts.

• Painting cobblestone
• Painting marble
• Rusty metal

Then on to the models. The sentinel bodies are simple enough:

• Scratched black metal
• Dark metal
• Shiny gold

And some cables basecoated Chainmail Silver and then coated Blood Angels Red.

The drivers get the regular tank crew nun uniform and medium skintone, pretty fiddly painting inside there and I had no mood to draw it out.

The guns were painted separately:

• Dark metal
• Shiny gold
• metallic 
• Blue plasma coils
• Muzzle burn

As well as some simple Contrast-over-silver effects.
