Cobblestone base
Prime black.
Basecoat the tops of the cobblestones in Heavy Charcoal. Use a large brush and the overbrushing method to save time.
Heavy drybrush Cold Grey. This should be the base tone of the cobblestones.
Drybrush Wolf Grey.
Overall wash Agrax Earthshade. Selectively dab on Coelia Greenshade and black wash (especially in the places where stones are missing) while still wet.
Final Stonewall Grey drybrush. It still retains the monochrome feeling of cobblestones, but there are in fact several gradients at play.
Correct the black rim of the bases.
Gloss varnish in the places where stones are missing, simulating pools of rainwater.
