M.A.G.U.S. - the temple of the Filth King (2)

This session took place after a 5 month hiatus. We jumped straight into the action: the rope frayed, and the beggars threw open the doors, just as Biznard and Athosian came through the tunnels.

Uprising on Mane Primus - Mission #3 Game

Mission

Loosely based on Crucible of War - Ambush. With no shooting on the ork side, there was no need for them to apply any stratagems. The Scouts could apply a stratagem to seize the initiative on 4+, which they did. This time, their player was stringy with his command points, leaving 1 right to the end.

Note that one Scout - Sergeant Argus - is already painted.

Uprising on Mane Primus - Mission #3 Story

Argus ran. His breath came in ragged rasps. His side ached. His head pulsed, each step a muffled thump. But he ran.

Path to Glory: Nurgle vs Stormcast Eternals, 15.01.2019

Introduction

Virulax was on the move. His Plaguebearers, goaded ever forward by the Bringer of the Pox, trudged along his side, spreading the blessings of their Grandfather left and right. Virulax looked around with a smile, noticing one more Feculent Gnarlmaw sprouting from the diseased ground behind them.

But then, Virulax heard an unbearable sound: the sound of maggots crunching under armored boots. Looking ahead, he squinted. His cataract-ridden eyes focused on the host of golden warriors marching to meet him. Their armor shone in the sun. Light glinted off their polished weapons. Wings spread like white sails, pure and unsullied.

This... this simply would not do.

'Gather 'round, children' - chortled Virulax. 'We have blessings to spread.'

Painting the Angel of Death

Introduction

As Sammael the warlock is an aasimar and can transform into a dark angelic being, his player decided on getting a second miniature for him. This is a sort-of commision work, as he'll keep the miniature. Miniature by Reaper Miniatures.

M.A.G.U.S. - the temple of the Filth King (1)

Introduction

The session was off to a rough start. We had previously just managed to restart the game for the year and had the first session, and agreed upon a 2-week interval for new games. Then immediately the next time, we had to postpone due to everybody having some other thing to do. We rescheduled. I made room for it in my calendar. I gave up another activity for it. And on the day of it, two players decided they couldn't come. I was furious. After a heated discussion, we decided to play for the first time without everybody present.

Enter Shamil and Felgrin, sneaking into the warehouse.

Magnetized backpacks for Chaos Chosen

Introduction

I bought a box of 5 Chaos Chosen (with full command) specifically to use them in DnD. However, they do look close enough to mutated Chaos Space Marines (full plate, face-enclosing helms, horns, heavy weapons, etc). All they miss are the iconic generator backpacks. I want to magnetize them, so that I can then reuse them in Warhammer 40k.

Word Bearers - 77th Host

'As the great Lorgar commands, so shall it be.'
With those words uttered, Kol Andar knew his fate to be sealed. His mind raged against the turn of events that brought him here; but in his heart of hearts, he felt at peace. For as the great Lorgar commands, so must it be.

Chaos Terminator bases

Inspired by the Chaos Lord lava base.

Start of the year rant

Time to start the new year in force! By publishing some long-due posts, obviously. They both reference the Chaos Terminators that I finished last year after months and months of on-and-off work, and I was so happy to be done with them that I missed some related stuff.

First of all, their bases.

Second, I wrote some lore about my Word Bearers - well, I guess fan fiction is the right term - intended for Storm of Pradus. However, that campaign died over the summer, when its creator had to channel his efforts into furnishing his new home instead of gaming. Real life hit like a truck, and I wasn't the only victim. Anyway, there is no purpose in holding the post back any longer. I might elaborate in the future, or not. Let's see if I ever get to paint any more Word Bearers.
