Painting Modrons

Introduction

Another take on Nolzur's Marvelous Miniatures: a monodrone and a duodrone. Our wild magic sorceress is a fan of summoning these, so I bought them from our FLGS. (No direct link, so look it up here).

Dungeon of the Mad Mage - Fake vampires, part 2

Having completed our "business" with the first fake vampire gang, we decided on pressing on towards the second gang. Of course, we wouldn't be ourselves if it went without issues...

Painting a Gelatinous Cube

Introduction

I bought this on a whim from our FLGS - my first ever pre-primed mini. (No direct link, so look it up here).

Dungeon of the Mad Mage - Fake vampires

The second online session during the COVID-19 self-quarantine went smoother than the first. We had the tools in-place... at least those of us who hadn't saved  their character sheets on different laptops :D

Dungeon of the Mad Mage - Greeks online

This session was timed for the first week of the COVID-19 social distancing period. We already postponed it once due to many adventurers being sick, so we decided to have our game on-line. Our Dungeon Master was very accommodating: we joined a Skype call, and he created censored versions of the dungeon map (where he deleted any parts we haven't explored yet) for us to have a visual understanding of the situation. He also readied the physical battle maps, but our battles were fought in tight corridors, where the theater-of-the-mind type approach was sufficient (although we are quite used to battle maps, and some time was needed to properly adjust).

Painting a crusader knight

Introduction

Another commission work - a crusader knight in Reaper Bones (no store link yet).

Dungeon of the Mad Mage - Is that you, Sylvia?

The session got off really slowly, as the party rearranged itself on the field of battle. We had stuff to explore and bodies to loot, we just couldn't decide how to begin... In the end, we manged it all.

Undead knight / chaos warrior

Introduction

A fun and simple commission: a singular Chaos Warrior painted up to be an armored undead.

March review & April goals

It's been rough. Less than 3 weeks since the COVID-19 quarantine started, but I'm already run into the ground. Working full time and taking care of children around the clock is not a joyride. My free time has now shrunk even more than before. But not all is lost...

Gaming wise, we're all shut down. Except for D&D! My ever faithful gaming group carries on, as we play via Skype. With no other games in sight, expect to be up-to-date with our adventures in no time.

Hobby-wise, I managed to finish one unit during March. I started on my work for the spring painting competition... and then everything ground to a screeching halt.

And so we have: April, the month of staying alive. Looks like I'll get to publish all my commission paintings from January, as well as all the D&D backlog that I have. If I manage to finish any miniatures at all, I'll count myself lucky.
