Storm King's part 16 - Achievement unlocked

We continue our quest in finding more of the “Lost Giant Artifacts” and our destiny brings us to Beorunna’s Well. This is a big grotto that only adventurers with “S” in their name dare to explore, and so Selene, Solid and Szivem descend into the grotto to look for the artifact. At this time the old Ren decides that it is better to stay on the flying ship to plan the escape if necessary.[1]

Shades/ghosts

Introduction

I placed a sizeable order on Reaper Miniatures just on time for their Halloween special. I got some free stuff along my order, including candy, some paints, and free minis. These two shades/ghosts are made of some sort of translucent grey plastic (or resin?). As such, they don't need painting, only basing.

Green stuffing 3d printed giants (and more)

Introduction

A bit late for our DnD campaign, the giants were finally ready. Well, not quite. They looked quite bad. But I wanted to fix them up as much as possible. Here goes nothing.

3d printed giants

Introduction

We finally have something produced by the 3d printer!

Spoiler: it's not as good as I expected it to be.

Even more 3d printing adventures

Introduction

With the enhancements done last time, the printer was now working acceptably. However, "acceptable" levels of accuracy are note enough when printing, let's say, miniatures!

Uprising on Mane Primus - Mission #4 Game

Mission

Loosely based on Crucible of War - Meat Grinder. I continuously added ork reinforcements to the table, and had all dead squads put to the side and returning on 4+. This built up a good narrative, and the scouts were able to pick off their attackers at first, with them getting overwhelmed only by the end.
I modified the available stratagems to better fit our play, and gave the scouts the chance to put down two types of booby traps: either 3" range that kill models on 5+ or 6" range that kill on 6+. Either cost 1 CP.
Note that several Scouts - those that were never knocked unconscious - have yellow paint on them.

Uprising on Mane Primus - Mission #4 Story

Argus thumbed the activation rune as he swung the chainsword, and the overworked engine growled to life once more, just as the teeth came into contact with a thick, green neck. The ork's savage warcry was interrupted by an equally savage gurgling sound. Green life fluids splashed across Argus as he decapitated the beast. Shaking the viscera off his weapon, he looked around.

Path to Glory: Nurgle vs Beasts of Chaos, 07.02.2019

Introduction

For Virulax, the banishment inflicted by the Stormcast could not last long. He had a job to do.

In the garden of Nurgle, he paused but for a minute - a moment? an eternity? - to admire the churning seas of filth, the putrid vegetation sprawling across the muck, and the toiling legions of the endlessly suffering. He took heart from their despair, and resolved to get back to his sacred tasks at once.

Visiting the Game Workshop store in München

Introduction

Last week I was on a business trip (as can be seen with the lacking of painting related posts). While there, I decided to visit an official Games Workshop store for the first time!

M.A.G.U.S. - Ambush in the square

Having secured their agenda with the council, the adventurers further pushed the newly elected leader, Kalad, to help them investigate Telicanthus' mansion. The man listened to their pleas and gave his acceptance. He also provided them with more muscle in case they ran into trouble. A new adventurer had joined the party: Cahir, the paladin of Uwel.
