Menace in the Zarek Valley - Buca buca!!!

The adventurers, along with their newfound orc buddies, travel back to the tribe's encampment. They learn a lot from the old shaman, called Gork, who prepares them for the confrontation with the new chieftain.

While the adventurers argue about what to do with the werewolf gnome, he quietly slips away...

Fixing the head of a demon

Introduction

It's a somewhat funny story. A friend bought a Reaper Fire Demon in a brick-and-mortar store in England; only a couple months later did he realize that the package had been tampered with and the head was missing. On a later visit to the US, he mailed Reaper to get an extra head (along with some other stuff we ordered, of course). They sent him another full model. He commissioned me to craft a head for the headless body.

Fixing the wings of a plague drone

Introduction

Back in the very first days of my wargaming hobby, I went on an ebay shopping spree to jump-start my army. Some of those scrap lots and models are still in their original state, as I learned how bad they perform on the tabletop and lost all incentive to fix them. Among them was a trio of Plague Drones, one of which was missing a wing. With the recent surge of painting Nurgle models and the skills I acquired in the mean time, I decided it was high time to fix it.

Painting a tree man (awakened tree, wilden)

Introduction

The current party of DnD adventurers had so far met 4 out of 6 of the previous adventuring party. They may or may not meet the remaining two some time in the future. This tree man from Reaper may or may not be Thrall, the wilden shaman.

Menace in the Zarek Valley - Dwarves and Werewolves (part 2)

The adventurers rest and try to think of a cure for lycanthropy. Those versed in medicine, religion and arcana come up with either casting the spell "Remove Curse" (which is of too high a level for them at this point) or eating a plant called Beladona. Just in time, as Lili already feels a craving for fresh meat.

Menace in the Zarek Valley - Dwarves and Werewolves (part 1)

The adventurers leave the dungeon with their new and shiny artifacts, killing more goblins on the way out. They head to Beverna, where they face the consequences of their actions.

Painting magnetized backpacks for Chaos Chosen

Introduction

I created the magnetized backpacks some time ago. It is now my goal to finish my hobby projects before starting new ones (except when painting competitions jump in and stuff gets urgent), so time to paint these accessories.

Painting a spell familiar: imp holding a book

Introduction

I found an imp holding a book on its back among my collection of unpainted minis, and I thought to paint it (for as of yet undisclosed reasons).

Menace in the Zarek Valley - Treasure Castle

As the adventuring party moves along the road towards Beverna, the old sage finds a reference to an ancient castle where powerful artifacts have been buried and sealed away in times past. Conveniently, Zyn comes along. According to his maps (stolen from his homeland), a family heirloom is buried somewhere... and he knows the approximate location. Could it be the same castle?

The 3d printing saga comes to an end

After about a year or so that we purchased a 3d printer, it was still going nowhere fast, despite numerous improvements. But the final replacement part had arrived.

Blood Pact heretic militia finished

Painting Blood Pact heretic militia

Introduction

Having learned some lessons from the POC, I could finally start to paint the entire squad. According to the lore, these guys are not big on personal hygiene, so I went for a dirty look. They also scavenge their equipment from wherever they can, so I made them wear different colored clothes (with dirt being the uniting factor).

M.A.G.U.S. - The final final battle

The adventurers caught their breath and continued exploring the villa. Fortunately at least one of them had previously been in a noble's mansion (possibly to rob it), and so they found their way to the owner's quarters. Also fortunately at least one of them can see in the dark, and so Felgrin looked through some keyholes to find the study room. Athosian picked the lock, and in they went - ignoring the sounds of battle now coming from outside.

M.A.G.U.S. - The final battle (Valentine's day special)

We got right down to the nitty-gritty. In true action movie fashion, the 'good guys' barged into the main hall. As they got to the center of the hall, the surrounding doors burst out and a bunch of  'bad guys' streamed out, surrounding them. After they were properly surrounded, the hostilities could commence.
Note that this was a Valentine's day special adventure. This means that all the enemies were wearing pink suits and ties instead of armor. They threw Valentine's day greeting cards instead of knifes and shuriken. They wielded long roses and other flowery implements instead of weapons. They danced and caressed instead of fighting. Yes, we kept it up all through the evening.

M.A.G.U.S. - Assembling an army

The new year kicked off with Shamil and Felgrin racing after the fleeing assassins. They caught up to them in no time, and the two villains decided to make a stand. Of course, one cannot stand for long against an invisible wizard and a prepped-up assassin.
