The 3d printing saga comes to an end

After about a year or so that we purchased a 3d printer, it was still going nowhere fast, despite numerous improvements. But the final replacement part had arrived.

We had a hunch that the jerry-rigged belt was to blame for the horrible results. This is the new and improved belt:



But does it work?


Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it does.

Wondering what that is? My baby's first mace! I was way too excited to assemble it (using silicone glue) and forgot to take pictures. There are 3 main pieces: the handle, the pommel, and the head. There are also 5 small cubes inside the hollow head, so that the whole thing makes noise when shaken. Here's the template.

Yes, there are small imperfections here and there, but it is a huge improvement considering previous results.
