Start the glow effect with a drybrush of Charred Brown around the cracks, then do a regular basecoat inside.
Very heavy drybrush on the flat areas. It's fine if it slops a bit on the rocks.
Glaze Bloody Red. Feather it out over the Charred Brown areas.
In the cracks, I did successive highlights, painting ever less of the surface.
Same treatment with Hot Orange.
Then Orange Fire.
The final highlight is Sun Yellow. No glazing necessary, just a bit of paint on the edges.
And in the dead center and at the extremities.

Tinny Tin basecoat.
