In this game of Fire and Blood, I encountered a much more dangerous Martell list than last time. The Sand Skirmishers unit got to shoot several times and killed my Savages during the first turn, with no chance of retaliation. I went into this with a deficit, but determined to make them pay.
The game was very intense so I took less pictures. But know that it caused immense satisfaction to delete the Skirmisher unit with Raiders. They failed a couple of Crown-induced panics, the Raiders got Sundering from the objectives and some Thormund-type cards, and I rolled particularly well.
Unfortunately the Spearwives did not last long. I dislike placing them front and center with Thormund.
I intensely hated the Martell cards, each with a wall of text detailing the many miseries inflicted upon me. Also they poisoned the money bag side board place, so I couldn't heal effectively. But I also had a good run with the Thenns, who eliminated the Stormcrow mercenaries with a combination of Hold the Line and Coordination Tactics.
By the last turn, the Martell cards had run out and their two cavalry units were no longer capable of killing my infantry. However, killing two of my marked units with marked units ensured enough victory points for the win.
