Better on highly textured surfaces due to the lighter colors which don't obfuscate details.
Note that some steps are invisible on smaller surfaces and can be skipped.
Basecoat Zandri Dust (1:1 Khaki + Heavy Goldbrown)
Broad highlights Khaki.
Wash Agrax Earthshade. Much more visible on texture surfaces, but it helps even on a staff.
Highlight Khaki.
Superhighlight Bonewhite.
