Introduction
The warband stepped out unto a deserted landscape. Ferrous deposits dotted the ground and the structures. The sharp scent of iron mixed with something foul, and the Bringer of the Pox lifted his own rusted blade.
'Ratmen! Charge!'
Battle round 1
Stormvermin marched in perfect ranks towards the realmgate, their Clawlord sneaking off to the side. The Bringer ordered the Plaguebearers to march relentlessly, taking the realmgate to themselves.
Battle round 2
Even the water was tainted in this land. Heavy drops of Steel Rain scathed the Stormvermin, cooking many of them in their own armor. It did not found purchase on the rotten flesh of the plagueband, and the Bringer led the Plaguebearers on a successful assault.
The Drones of the Plague had begun their buzzing march towards the enemy's lumbering cannons, and Virulax himself made an appearance.
Battle round 3
The Warp-lightning Cannons flared, overcharged mechanisms spitting greenish energy. The Drones shrivelled and died, only one of them reaching their intended target. However, more Plaguebearers rose out of the now marshy ground, and the Nurglings had capered their way to the other side of the battlefield. The plagueband was firmly holding all points of interest across the desolate battlefield.
Battle round 4
The ratmen fought with what passed for fury among their misbegotten kind. The Engineer annihilated the remaining Drone. The Clawlord hacked furiously at the Nurglings. Cannons fired, dismembering the Bringer, but barely hurting Virulax. All this could not dampen the plagueband's presence, and they entrenched themselves firmly, forcing the Skaven to retreat.
Aftermath
A glorious victory! The plagueband was awarded the maximum amount of points in this contest of champions.
