Painting a T-rex

Introduction

A Reaper Miniatures Carnotaurus, in case I ever need to polymorph something into a T-rex in D&D.

Painting

Prime Grey Seer by brush.

Dilute Militarum Green with Contrast Medium, about 1:2 or maybe 1:3 and paint all over.

Mix Nazdreg Yellow into the remainder of the previous mixture, and paint some areas - where the lighter belly ends and the patterns begin.

Dilute Ork Flesh and paint everything above the yellow patterns. Also intersect a bit, to blur the borders. Then pure Ork Flesh into the topmost areas.

Finish off with a drybrush of Dead Flesh, to bring out the details on the back and the pronounced scales on the legs. Unfortunately, I was not careful enough and the brush left streaks on the legs. So I went over them again with Ork Flesh.

Black Templar claws, Volupus Pink inside mouth, Skeleton Horde teeth, Nazdreg Yellow eyes, Black Templar pupils.

Basing

The usual prehistorical swamp

Finished!
