Painting ghosts (Nighthaunt Glaivewraith Stalkers)

Introduction

I grabbed five of these freaky spear-wielding ghosts at a second hand discount, and decided to try out 3 separate color schemes on them (all featured on Warhammer TV).

Prime and undercoat

Corax White spray. I found it to be a little off grey instead of pure white, so I brushed on a coat of White Primer.

1st paint scheme (cartoon ghost)

Wash Hexwraith Flame.

Nighthaunt Gloom on some areas - the cowl and the blade.

Heavy drybrush Ghost Grey.

2nd paint scheme (pale)

Mix Nihilakh Oxide and Lahmian Medium, then wash overall.

Mix Nighthaunt Gloom and Lahmian Medium, then wash on any extremities and feather out towards the middle.

Heavy drybrush Ghost Grey.

3rd paint scheme (ethereal green)

Basecoat Stonewall Grey.

Wash Hexwraith Flame.

Recess shade Coelia Greenshade.

Heavy drybrush Ghost Grey.

Conclusion

I liked the pale scheme best, and painted the remaining two like that.

Other details

All the ghosts have stones on their base, which got a simple progression of Stonewall Grey basecoat, Black Wash, Stonewall Grey edge highlight.
Other odd details include a skull and twisted metallic fences.

Basing

Woodland base. Add some rocks for stability - these guys are intended for 32mm bases, but since I want them for DnD, I put them on 25mm.

Finished!
