Blades of Khorne vs Lumineth Realm-lords, 2020.10.14

Introduction

Arbra'Gax dragged himself back to the mortal realms to face down the pointy elves in the Battle for the Pass.

Blades of Khorne, turn 1

The elves hesitated, giving the daemons their chance to move. Arbra'Gax, disgusted by the pervasive use of magic tricks, held back his minions, cautiously taking the mid field.

Lumineth Realm-lords, turn 1

The elf right flank advanced cautiously as well, but the cavalry threw itself at the Flesh Hounds, annihilating them in a flurry of shining lances.

Lumineth Realm-lords, turn 2

The Lumineth had momentum, and did not stop. The Wardens pressed the right flank, annihilating Flesh Hounds and holding down the Skullcrushers. The Light of Eltharion joined the fray, cutting Arbra'Gax apart with ease. Arrows thudded into a Slaughterpriest, dealing mortal wounds.

Blades of Khorne, turn 2-3

Leaderless, the warband went on the offensive. Elven cavalry died, their blood boiling in their veins; they were finished off by the Bloodcrushers. Skullcrushers rode down the Light of Eltharion, failing to trample the animated armor and getting cut down in return. Bloodletters clawed their way into reality, but they were not quick enough to join the fray.

Lumineth Realm-lords, turn 3

More and more of the Khorne worshippers fell, and the remaining forces melted away. The elves won an overwhelming victory.

Aftermath

I was speechless at this army. Every warscroll has a bucketload of special rules. So many rules, that even an otherwise just-OK profile becomes a killer unit. They are resilient, fast, and deal a lot of damage. I don't honestly know what I could have done better with the models at hand.

At least one thing is certain: Bloodletters suck.
