Painting Minotaurs

Introduction

Old school Heroquest Minotaurs! These minis are not much younger then myself, so we can forgive their goofy stances and expressions. They were also quite a cheap buy on eBay, for about 1 pound each.

Painting

I did them in parallel with the Ettin and followed the same principles: Contrast basecoats and drybrushing where possible to save time.

Prime Wraithbone.

Contrast basecoats.

Dark brown wooden clubs/axe handles.

Horns. Additional Nazdreg Yellow on the teeth.

Light leather gloves.

Medium leather belts.

Black hair, but only one coat of Black Templar as the basecoat. For the body hair/fur, I applied Basilicanum Grey over the skintone, then drybrushed Cold Grey at the same time as the hair.

Silver belt buckle, axe head, spikes, nosering, earring. Gore-grunta Fur rust streaks. Filthy cloth. Eyes

Volupus Pink on the tongues.

Basing

Woodland base.

Finished!
