I bought some military toys a while back thinking to use them for Chaos shenanigans. Well, it turns out the Guard can use them as well.
Conversion
I forgot to take pictures of the two tanks before I ripped off their turrets. The chassis are identical. I also broke off the fuel tanks mounted on their back plates to shorten them. They are actually probably a bit long, but I couldn't get a proper measurement on the internet for the Cyclops, so bigger is probably a safer bet. Take them apart, scrub them under water as they've been gathering serious dust.
Reassemble them (and glue them), then glue on some things to make them more Warhammer. Sentinel front plates bring the required aquila symbols, while also Sentinel antennae accentuate the remote control aspect. I glued back the fuel tanks on the back, but no overhanging. And some tanks from the Rogal Dorn kit in the middle, to cover up the turret hole and also to have some visible explosives.
The ripped out fuel tanks left some holes in the back, which I covered up with pieces of plasticard.
Painting
Spray black. Start with Scratched black metal. Dark metal fuel tanks. Traditional silver antennae and tracks. Shiny gold aquila. Finally, apply mud to the tracks.
