Painting the legion icon of the Night Lords

 

Draw a rough skull shape using Wraithbone. 3 layers are usually sufficient. Then start drawing the wings using Scarlet Red (although Heavy Red probably works as well, coverage is the most important at this step).

Draw the outline - the fingers, as it were.

Fill in.

Paint over Reaper Fresh Blood for that bright desaturated red.

Draw the eyes, nose and teeth of the skull, as well as an outline, using Black Templar.
