5 objectives in Honed and Ready, but plenty of BS on the other side, including Kingsguard, Honour Guard, lance cavalry. I decided to skip dancing around with the zoo and try out the giants.
Round 1 we just moved up, to see what's what. Everybody cautious around all the stakes.
Round 2: afraid of being surrounded by giants, the Kingsguard pulled back. So I just let Wun Wun gather points on his objective. Mag and his buddy 1v1 against infantry. Honour Guard and Robert Strong doing well against the giant. The Lance cavalry advanced up, although I don't remember why; so I charged in Varamyr to deny their objective holding.
Thus ended round 2 with 1-0.
I decided that the Savage Giants won't live through another round with Robert, so I did a fallback. On 3+, I could have passed to Mag's other side. Rolled a 2. The Honor Guard then decided to follow up with a charge. Rolled a 1.
Hero Varamyr resisted a souped up attack from the cavalry, then just passed a panic when the giant spear thrower finished them off. Failing this would have been awkward.
I tried finishing off some more units, but just couldn't get enough hits in. Resilience on Robert Strong and faith tokens on the Warrior's Sons held off even the giants.
The Kingsguard charged Wun Wun just for kicks, but didn't accomplish anything. Neither did the hit back.
Game ended 3-0.
