I won this model either for judging a painting competition or heading a paint-your-first-mini type event at The Guild Hall. Either case, thanks to Novac Dawn for the amazing model! She's supposed to be some sort of swamp witch - but all I can see is a delightfully chaotic nurgle-type model. I painted her as such.
Painting
Prime Wraithbone.
Seraphim Sepia belly. Gutrippa Flesh skin. Creed Camo cloth and fur.
Somewhat diluted (2:1) Poxwalker all over.
Bring back some saturation to the skin with a well diluted (1:3) mix of Militarum Green and Gutrippa Flesh.
While basecoating the hooves Cygor Brown, I realized that I should do some drybrushing before carrying on. Simplified wasteland base.
The scythe-like weapon is suspiciously organic bone like, so wet blend Skeleton Horde and Cygor Brown.
Clean up the remaining details of the green/brown splodges. Paint most boils Nazdreg Yellow, but some Guilliman Flesh. Also do the horrible growths on the left arm, and a bit over the knees. Volupus Pink maggots. Carroburg Crimson (2 layers) on the guts she's dragging.
Paint the small mushrooms as toadstools: diluted Seraphim Sepia stalks, Blood Angels Red hats. Paint the large mushrooms the same diluted Seraphim Sepia on the underside, then wetblend Wyldwood/Agrax Earthshade on the top.
Start the wet palette process on the mushrooms. Highlight the undersides, edges and stalks Off White.
Paint the spots white.
Highlight the black flies Cold Grey. Highlight the weapon Dark Fleshtone. Paint the Bones and Dark wood. Any hanging amulets and bracelets Corroded bronze. Any rings and hooks Rusty metal. Highlight the dark green clothes Goblin Green, the skin Dead Flesh + Bonewhite, the fly wings and beads white, the knees and other fleshy and pink parts 2:1 Elf Skintone + Pale Flesh, the yellow boils and horns Off White.
After varnishing, dab some Blood for the Blood God! on the innards she's carrying and and hand she's holding them with. Glue her on a 50mm base.
