Converting and painting Palatine Guard as Death Korps of Krieg

Along with the rest of the Papal Palatine Guard, a proxy squad of Krieg infantrymen now join the army.

Conversions

Assemble the bodies with heads and backpacks (except the voxcasters). Lay them out while searching for appropriate arms.

Special weapons: melta and plasma. I found these smaller scaled options to 3d print. Add small bits of green stuff to the shoulder joints.

Medics: one remaining Krieg medipack, where I discovered the Krieger arms fit really well on these minis. I also added a left handed healing stick. For the other guy, I glued on regular arms, then grafted on a leather pack from the Krieg kit.

Unmodified drummers, for the lulz.

Sergeants: instead of gluing plasma pistols into open hands, chop off the plasma pistol grips. Scrape off the top of regular hands and glue on the pistols for a better fit. Regular sword arms.

Look up all the one handed Krieger lasguns. Glue on regular bits for the opposing arms.

Two handed Krieg lasguns also fit pretty well, but need bits of green stuff at the shoulder joints. Glue on 3d printed voxcasters.

Painting

Really, just apply the paint scheme devised here. Go for diverse skintones: medium skintone, Dark skin, Yellowy dark skin. For the facial/hair, either white, Blond, Black or brown (Wyldwood, Beasty Brown).

Paint the guns and gear metallic, with Blue plasma coils and simple Contrast applications over silver for the voxcasters and meltaguns.
