Painting an elf sorceress

Introduction

Time to upgrade a DnD character miniature. While the paintjob is nice, it's an eBay find and so not done by me, and perhaps not on par with the rest of them. The new miniature is Anthanelle, elf wizard made in Reaper Bones Black (no official link yet).

Painting

Prime white.

Blue white cloth for the robe.

Cloak inspired by the red cloth, but with Electric Blue for the base tone. Mix with Heavy Blue for lowlights and white for highlights. Drakenhof Nightshade in the recess along the edge.

Heavy Red overcoat with Fresh Blood highlights, which were barely visible, so I did more highlights with Hot Orange.

Dark brown staff and dagger hilt.
Medium leather bag, dagger sheath and neckguard.
Light leather strings.

Silver details on the dagger and clasps on the neckguard.
Gold staff details: basecoat with Glorious Gold, wash Reikland Fleshshade, highlight Polished Gold.

Light skintone, eyes, face, blond hair.

Blue-green metal bracers.

Back view - there is a small golden clasp here.

Basing and after-work

Spray varnish. Woodland base. Paint the gemstone in the staff using Waystone Green.

Finished!
