Dungeon of the Mad Mage: Another kind of dungeon

We started off with the interrogation of T'rissa. I prepared a speech and some questions, and she answered readily enough. House Auvryndar was here to extend their influence and conquer Skullport, with no connection to Halaster. I offered her to join us, but she refused. We kept our word and she ran away. Oh well, carry on.

We found a door barred from the outside. In the room, a surface elf named Martha was overjoyed at being let out. She came down from Waterdeep to join the drow, because she finds them fascinating. My brain popped at such insanity and I tried to give her peace[1] but she managed to run away.

Next up, a row of cells, with monsters as jailkeepers, and some prisoners - including drow who started firing at us with crossbows. We killed them all and released the rest of the prisoners: a human named Lurash who was captured and interrogated by the drow, even though he knew literally nothing; and a dwarf called Geldax Beer who offered to upgrade our artefacts.[2] We went along.

Back in the dungeon, we found rooms filled with torture equipment, and drow females dressed in tight leathers and spiky bits. They attacked, we killed them.

Next up, a private torture chamber, where a drow female was waterboarding a male. I talked, she moved for her weapons, we attacked. She did not go down in one turn, but seeing the burst damage[3] she tried to talk as well. We found out the name of the house matriarch - Vlonwelv Auvryndar - but nothing else of value. We decided not to leave witnesses behind.

For the last encounter of the day, another private torture chamber. I went in disguised as T'rissa, and found two drow females torturing one another. Unfortunately, one was T'rissa's older sister, and she sent me on my way. I responded with a Lightning Bolt, and then we killed them.

[1] By murdering her, of course.
[2] I prepared this some time ago, but of course I forgot to actually create documents for the players. After some haggling we decided to go back into the dungeon with the items as-is, and they'll get "imbued with magic" by the next time we play.
[3] Even though we were only 4 players.
