I suppose you know about this gem (also part 2 and part 3). Now up until this moment, all my conversions have been utilitarian. If I'm missing the right model because it's OOP or whatnot, maybe the right wargear, I'd convert it. I never 'got' themed conversions. Until this one clicked...
Step 1: Wulfen
I got a bits bag of 10 Wulfen... all the right number of bits but still not everything, kind of incomplete, but not really. I bought it ages ago, I don't even remember. Anyway, I pieced together 10 bodies with claws (it was a chore, without knowing which piece has what number). I scraped off some Space Wolf insignias, like the obvious wolf skulls on the knee pads.
Step 2: anthropomorphic animal heads from Shapeways
Green stuffing, session 1
Take one prepared Wulfen body.
Chop off the neck nub. Do the same on the head nub. Place a ball of green stuff. Push the head in.
Chop or scrape off any Space Wolf symbols possible, if not, just cover them up with green stuff fur. This works a bit like rot, just pull the green stuff all in one direction, and pull it over the boundary, so that it looks like flocks of fur.
Any female looking bodies (much like the squirrel girl) need large globs of green stuff for breasts. I also made one pregnant, with a bigger glob of green stuff for a belly. Use a silicone tool for blending with the rest of the body. (See pictures below.)
Green stuffing, session 2
After the previous stuff hardened, go on with additional details. Such as the lion mane (which is just the base of it, really) and the man-kini. For the mane, roll sausages of green stuff and place around the neck. For the man-kini, roll a teardrop shaped piece of green stuff, and blend the upper end to the belt.
Next up, bikini tops. Roll flat a piece of green stuff under parchment paper, then leave to cure for about 30 minutes. Cut triangle shapes using a watered knife.
Place on breasts.
Green stuffing, session 3
With the triangles fully cured, time for the bikini straps. Roll very thin sausages, cut to size, then blend in with a silicone tool.
Put a layer of fresh green stuff on the large sausages, then fur it out.
Work on the rest of the bodies as well. Cover up anything untoward with patches of fur, link leather straps with green stuff, etc.
Do patches of fur around the necks, to cover up the joins.
These are the 'easy' bodies complete.
Green stuffing, session 4
Place more green stuff on top of the manes, then fur it up. Done!
Taurs
Apparently, that's what half animal half anthropomorphic animal bodies are called. Such as the wolf guy in Furry Force. I read that on the Furry Force wiki. Yes, that is a thing. The bodies are from the same Shapeways shop; as you can see, the heads are a perfect match. Standing up, they are about the height of a Wulfen model. I did them in 4 phases. First, a bit of green stuff for the head joint; then a small ball to connect the Daemonette arms (which are the only ones I had in scale).
Finally, connect the second arm.
Finish off by placing a bit of fur around the arm joints, to cover it up.
