The Lord Discordant was hard to magnetize - the Astra Militarum tanks were a breeze compared to this. It doesn't look as on the box art due to fitting issues - here goes.
Magnetizing the mouth weapons
The mouth weapons are part of this two-ended wonderbit. Cut off the ends.
Drill and magnetize the mount. A 2mm magnet works well. I chose the magma cutter mount so that the cable will better fit.
Drill and magnetize the weapons. Again 2mm magnets are OK.
Glue in the weapon mount and the neck bit. This requires a fair amount of dryfitting so make sure everything's snugly in its place.
Magnetizing the back-mounted weapon
The first issue here is that a mechadendrite is holding the weapon handle. There's no way to make everything fit perfectly. Cut it off.
Glue the part that was cut off to its tentacle. Of course, the grabby bits are incomplete.
Add a bit of green stuff to complete the claws, then use plastic glue to attach the tentacle. I made a point of NOT putting it in the 'right' position, so it doesn't scrape the glaive or anything.
The second issue is that the weapon feed is the support under the left shoulderpad. Cut off the flamer cable so that the shoulderpad can be glued on.
Glue on the shoulder bit, then the shoulderpad.
On to the actual magnetizing. Drilling and putting a 2mm magnet into the weapon mount is quite easy.
Cut off the bit from the gun. Hand drill a 1mm guide hole. Then go in with the 2mm power tool.
Glue in the magnet.
Tried the same with the flamer, but the hole went a bit sideways (or perhaps the mounting bit is narrower). I glued 2 magnets into it, just in case.
Finally, glue the ammo feed/cable to the guns.
