My first game of season 6, with lots of attachments. I wanted to try out a "zoo" build with Varamyr, two skinchangers and Borroq in a favorable setup - A Game of Thrones, with 5 objectives. I stalled for the first two rounds, getting all my crap into position. We scored equal points.
Battle round 3
For my first trick, I had to neutralize the Crossbowmen, so I charged in the boar. In response, Clegane killed the Wolfpack, but in response I charged in with a card using the Shadowcat. so he couldn't move away from the Spearwife charge.
On this flank, the Lannisters played static, holding on to two objectives.
I made a play for the Warrior Sons, but they are monstrously powerful on the defensive, with their autoblocking feature and excellent morale. Not even Cave Dweller Savages with Bear support could really put a dent in them. At least I disabled the Crossbowmen shooting twice.
Battle round 4
Still on equal points. We traded the Brigands for the Spearwives, with the Wolfpack killing the cavalry, then marching forward with Bonded Command. I gave up a point (the Endless Horde Raiders could have taken the back point and Varamyr the forwards one), but I had to keep the Crossbowmen occupied the next round.
Guess what, the Warrior Sons are also monsters on the attack. I attacked back with 8 attacks, Overwhelming Assault and whatnot, but still couldn't take them down.
Battle round 5
With me holding both objectives on the left, I compensated for the Lannisters holding the center and the back right point. I just couldn't shift the Warrior Sons and couldn't maintain more ranks. In the middle, we simply played a staring contest, while the animals went and did the work. In the end, the boar and the bears died, but they held down the flank.
Battle round 6
See that almost completely healthy Thenn unit? Which I charged in last turn to keep the Honor Guard from murdering my Frozen Shore Hunters for points? They got killed in a single attack. The point thus obtained made the score 11-10.
