More Cultists. No conversions this time, as I got the rest of the 'unique' sculpts, including champions and heavy weapons.

I picked this model up on eBay back when Fallen had rules and their own specialist detachment. Nothing came of it then, but I still decided to paint him up to assist my Word Bearers.

Converting and painting Chaos Cultists

These Cultists have seen action in times past. I decided to paint them up inspired by the Gaunt's Ghosts novel 'Honor Guard', which features Chaos forces calling themselves the Infardi and wearing green robes.

Painting more old-school Plague Marines (bodies)

Introduction

I had originally converted 3 more dudes to complete my original 7-man squad. They were supposed to run in my Chaos Marine army, jumping out of a Rhino with 6 plasma guns total. Well, that belongs in the past as a now invalid loadout. The models languished behind their painted brothers in the display case for, I kid you not, three years. That was quite enough.

Re-painting Flesh Hounds

Introduction 

I got these Flesh Hounds as part of the payment for painting the Triumph of Saint Katherine. They had a basic paint job on but beautiful basing - unfortunately I forgot to take pictures. Even more unfortunately, I had to rip them off their bases, as the official base size changed. Sigh. That pretty much killed my mood for doing anything with them, until now.

The year in review

The year was quite good overall, but overshadowed by the end period. My November review was already half-hearted. Well, December was even worse from a hobby point of view, as I did literally nothing. No games. No painting. On the flip side, we moved home to a bigger apartment. Not quite finished yet, but I'll soon have my own office/cave to work and/or paint miniatures in, with a very large display cabinet planned. This is also why we don't have any pictures for this review, as most of my stuff is still in boxes.

So... let's move on.
