Painting a dancing girl

Introduction

Another mini for my MAGUS sorceress, to give bonuses for dancing, music and other... social type activities. From Reaper Miniatures.

Painting

Prime white.

Medium skintone. I did not like the sharp contrasts, and so I finished off the skin with a diluted glaze of Reikland Fleshshade.

Blue skirt inspired by the red cloth cloak.

Undercoat the skirt in Heavy Blue. Basecoat Magic Blue. Mix Magic Blue and Night Blue and paint into the recesses. Mix Magic Blue and Electric Blue and highlight the folds. Use Electric Blue for superhighlights and edge highlights.

Simplified black hair. Grey highlights applied as drybrushing.

Basecoat the tassels around the skirt in Heavy Goldbrown. I applied an initial wash of Cassandora Yellow, but it was barely visible.

Blue white corset.

Eyes. Female face.

Glorious Gold basecoat on all the jewels, then wash Agrax Earthshade on the jewels and tassels. Highlight the gold in Polished Gold. Highlight the yellow in Heavy Goldbrown, then Sun Yellow.

Start the flowers on the skirt with a Heavy Red undercoat.

Basecoat Warlord Purple.

Draw the petals using Squid Pink.

Basing

Finished!
