Introduction
These are the Leyline Phantoms from the Magic the Gathering: Arena of the Planeswalkers board game. I initially wanted to do a traditional blue color scheme on these guys, simulate transparency and whatnot. Now that I possess a sizable collection of Contrast paints - I know better.
Original state
Semi transparent blue plastic.
Painting
"Prime" by spraying Munitorum Varnish.
Then each gets a layer of a different kind of blue Contrast paint: Akhelian Green, Terradon Turqoise, Talassar Blue.
Finally, a coat of gloss varnish.
