Introduction
The same random trip where I got the baby dragon I also bought this Cosmo Serpent from the Wizkids/MtG crossover line.
Painting
I drybrushed Chainmail Silver over the original white primer to give some shine to the layers following.
Dilute Volupus Pink for the belly. Dilute Ultramarine Blue for the body. Draw patterns using Akhelian Green. Use Leviadon Blue for the face.
Very light drybrush Silver. This is just to reestablish the shine of the scales.
Paint the rest of the details. Basecoat the spines Wraithbone (and correct any splodges if needed). Skeleton Horde on the horns, teeth and spikes, highlight Wraithbone. Two coats of Darkoath Flesh on the spines and mouth, highlight Heavy Skintone. Put some Carroburg Crimson in the deepest reaches of the mouth. Try Gryph Hound Orange for the eyes (barely visible). Wyldwood on the ground.
Finishing touches
Apply Stirland Mud on the flat surfaces of the base. Leave it to try, then spray varnish. Finish with a couple of tufts.
