Painting a Frost Salamander

Introduction

Another giant mini from Nolzur's Marvelous Miniatures.

Blue gradient

Basecoat the entire body in Aethermatic Blue.

Dilute Ultramarines Blue for the first layer of the gradient, feather out the color about where the belly would begin.

Do a second layer, then mix in Leviadon Blue for a narrow line along the spine.

Trace the spine with pure Leviadon Blue.

Other details

Eyes, but with vertical pupils and a layer of Lamenter's Yellow over them.

Claws and teeth.

Volupus Pink mouth, highlighted with Reaper Pink.

Base

Color the raised base Wyldwood, and cover the rest of the black plastic with Stirland Mud.

Place some tufts before doing the snow.
