Painting dwarf paladins on a Contrast basecoat

Two pre-primed dwarf paladins from Nolzur's Marvelous Miniatures. I severely lack dwarves, so these two can come in handy some day.

Painting

The white primer presents itself as a perfect surface for Contrast paints. Here goes.

I just had to take a separate shot of the cloaks. Sigvald Burgundy is such a rich and deep color, and actually properly shades the recesses. 10/10.

Vallejo Fluorescent Magenta (which looks pink but diluted is more of a magenta) is just the perfect highlight color for it.

Highlight the rest of the colors. Ultramarines Blue came out very well on this recessed surface, so an Electric Blue edge was just fine. Then there is:

The transparent magic hammer got two coats of gloss varnish (as a basecoat), then Guilliman Blue. This dulled it down, so more gloss varnish for that magical finish.

The banners are simply Apothecary White, Dead White highlights, Talassar Blue stripes. Gloss varnish and Aethermatic Blue on the non-transparent runed hammer. Simplified wasteland base.

Finished!
