Painting nightmarish fish dogs (?)

I got two of these creatures to paint to increase the cthulhuid monster collection for MAGUS.

Painting

Prime Munitorum Varnish (due to it being Reaper Bones), then Leadbelcher. Nice and shiny underneath the Contrast paints, giving a fish-like scaly appearance. (As I had received the picture of a fish as a model.)

Start with an overall coat of Aethermatic Blue.

Coat the fleshy parts and spines in Plaguebearer Flesh. Coat the back scales in diluted Terradon Turquoise.

Another layer of Terradon Turquoise on the back, close to the spines.

With the scales done, do the teeth/claws and the base as wasteland. The eyes are just Blood for the Blood God over Silver.

Paint the rim black and spray varnish.
