Game 2 against another Gregor Clegane-lead Lannister list. With 5 objectives on the board, I pulled out my zoo. As expected, the side with the Honor Guard, reinforced by the Crossbowmen, seemed lost from the start. I instead focused on the other flank. With Bonded Command, I had my Wolfpack fly up and pin down the Knights.
The gist of my gameplan was: hold two objectives with Varamyr and the Thenns, and deny as many victory points from the Lannisters as wildlingly possible. By pinning down their units with my cheap animals and hurting them everything, to the point that I had bigger rank bonuses, I kind of succeeded.
The Knights did the worst, with not a single successful lance charge. I focused everything on them. Coupled with some unlucky rolls where they couldn't take down Varamyr's animals, they effectively did nothing the whole game.
Death by a thousand cuts, I did kill the Knights and the Bolton Blackguards. The Honor Guard almost turned it around by obliterating the Cave Dwellers (whose only purpose in life was to hold them up, anyway), and charging forth. Borroq and his Frozen Shore Hunters got down to 1 model facing the Boltons, then died to Horrific Visage. Some great moments indeed.
In the end, standard victory 7-3.
