First game: familiar list, completely new opponent. I decided on doing my killy (?) infantry list, but with bear support this time, as the eagles did nothing in the warm-up game. I marked the two lightly armored units for kill points, while my opponent marked Spearwives and a bear.
I stalled for time, getting into position, setting up my reserves.
Using my superior maneuverability (thanks Lady Val!), I had Gregor's unit spin around, while the reserved Spearwives set up for advantageous charges.
I sacrificed my left bear to get the Warrior Sons out of the battleline and into a position to be surrounded.
On turn 4, after lots of back-and-forth, healing, morale stuff, tokens, shoot and charge, and blocking, I finally managed to destroy the Warrior Sons. The Spearwives put in overtime, and good work.
However, I lost the battle on the other flank. Gregor surged forth, marked the bear for an extra kill point, charged, and scored. The bear might have survived, if not for Gregor's +2 wounds. And the game ended there due to time constraints.
Loss 3-1. Which is a super low scoring game in my experience. Minor victory to the opponent.
Poor bear.
