First commission work of the year, started before my accident. Photos are thus a bit jumbled. The minis are: this flameweaver, this old man, this young mage and unknown bearded guy.
Primed white by airbrush
Classic paints: flameweaver
Originally meant for Contrast paints, but even regular acrylics behaved like this. Curse you Bones!
After several layers, here's a go at a high-contrast (pun intended) blue cloth. Basecoat Sombre Grey.
Layer Wolf Grey.
Highlight Ghost Grey.
Superhighlight white.
Recess shade Drakenhof Nightshade.
In the meantime I also painted the other details:
- medium skintone
- Painting eyes
- Light leather
- Simplified black hair
- Warm white cloth
- metallic accessories
- fire easily with washes
Contrast-based blues
The other 3 are metal, so all paints behave normally. Some common details, then on to the blues:
- medium skintone
- Painting eyes
- Light leather (Contrast)
- Blond hair
- Warm white cloth
- Dark wood
- Bone
- Dark leather
- Cold white (hair)
- Shiny gold
- metallic accessories
Dark Turquoise. Basecoat Stormfiend.
Coat 2:1 diluted Black Templar.
Highlight Sombre Grey.
Medium bright blue. Basecoat Asurmen Blue. Highlight Wolf Grey.
Bluish turquoise. Basecoat Stormfiend.
Coat Tyran Blue.
Highlight Heavy Blue.
