We put the Golden Vault D&D 5E campaign on hold to play Call of Cthulhu 7th edition instead. The adventure module we are starting, called Masks of Nyarlathotep, is exactly 666 pages long. The intro part is about us joining an archeological expedition in Peru, in the year 1921.
After some preparation, we put together our investigator party:
- Amos Farwell, veteran of the Great War
- Archibald, brawler and mechanic
- Bruce Chang, cook, monk of shaolin
- Karl Schwarzkopf, scientist
- Lucy MacLean, dilletante
That last one is me, and anybody who has seen the Fallout series should be familiar with my story. Lucy grew up in a Los Angeles mansion, attended the best schools, has a soft spot for history, and learnt to shoot handguns from her father, Hank. Hank had been kidnapped by a band of funny looking people, and the only two clues were a faint peruvian accent (Lucy speaks fluent Spanish) and a name they dropped: Moldaver. After some fruitless searching, Lucy decided to fund and join this expedition to take a look at Peru.
