With the success of placing The Great Walrus in a unit of Thenn Warriors, I decided to try it again. I came pretty close to success. See the lists here.
First battle round: all gas, no breaks forwards.
The Cave Dweller Savages made their charge, hit the crossbowmen hard, but were shot down to one man in return. Dervishes dealt a lot of damage using Jokin's card.
All the while my chariot camping the Lannister back lines, scoring points.
I really misplayed my bear cavalry, as they were down to 1 model before hitting anything. The chariot distracted the cavalry... a worthy sacrifice.
The best moment of the evening, was the charge made by that 1 cave dweller savage. With Critical Blow given by a card, and rolling like this...
...the crossbowmen were wiped out.
Varys then inflicted hits on them, killing them as well.
Heavy fighting going down in the midle. I was loosing models fast, but the victory points were quite equal.
Clegane Rebels charged the chariot. Had it rolled better on defense, or morale, or had I had a card, it could have retreated, used the free move to come in behind the Honor Guard and inflict damage. But no, it died. Then the bears died as well, and I knew it was over.
With incredible luck, the Thenns were still holding on.
Battle round 5 began with both of us at 4 points.
Rolling like gods saw the Thenns survive another round.
But then the Dervishes got Jokin's extra attacks card and the Thenns died. The cavalry charged into the Raiders and they died to morale.
