Converting and painting Chaos Terminator arms

I painted these Terminators several years back along with their magnetized arms. The original dream was to have all the available weapon options magnetized, but I grew weary of them and never got around to do it. Now with Chaos Marines on the rise again, I decided to WYSIWYG everything.

Original arms

I had a bunch of terminator arms in my bits box. Some were taken off Dark Angels terminators I bought from eBay, others were an old gift from a local Space Wolves player. Of course, I had to remove insignia; see examples below. Snip off any hanging elements, scrape off the reliefs using the hobby knife.

Conversions

I actually had one regular autocannon. That, as well as these two loyalist powerfists, got Chaos Terminator shoulder pads.

After scraping off the insignia, I cut the sights/scoped off some storm bolters, and glued on combi-plasma bits.

Some arms lacked proper shoulder pads. I used an AoS Khorne bits for this one.

I don't know why these power fists had smaller shoulder joints - possibly regular marine accessories and not originally meant for terminators? Anyway, some Kromlech chaos shoulder pads fit perfectly.

I then cobbled together more shoulder pads using AoS undead shields and an old chaos knight shoulder.

Painting

Nothing out of the ordinary, follow the links above for the painting steps, which I reproduced faithfully. Some new elements include:

Finished!
