Contrast commission time! Following up the trolls, now we have a bunch of ogres (and related type creatures). All of them Reaper made.
Painting
For this demon ogre (later turned out to be an ice troll, but whatever), I used Guilliman Flesh on the skin, then wet blended Blood Angels Red on the back. The eyes are huge and pronounced, perfect for Aethermatic Blue. On the rock, I wet blended Gryph Charger Grey and Black Templar.
For this minotaur-beastman creature, I went for the classic spotted cow look. Coat his fur Skeleton Horde, then do Gore Grunta Fur spots. Also large and pronounced eyes, so I avoided them while painting, filled them up Soulblight Grey, then dot the center Black Templar.
Paint Volupus Pink inside the mouths. Here, I did Blood Angels Red on the tongues.
Most minis were an exercise in browns, but I tried balancing it with faded blues (Night Haunt Gloom, Apothecary White).
Blood Angels Red for a tiny spot of color.
Most are details heavy - straps and ropes everywhere. However, this one had a clear stomach, so I blended out Ratling Grime for some body hair.
Nazdreg Yellow works well for gold, while Talassar Blue is OK for gems.
While I used Fyreslayer Flesh/Darkoath Flesh/Guilliman Flesh for variation, I did do one 1:1 diluted Cygor Brown skintone.
And use the other fleshtones on the shield, making the color more intense in the center and feathering out.
Basing
Woodland base wherever the base is not filled up with cast rocks.
