Creating and painting a large grey ooze

This is a custom monster for Dungeon of the Mad Mage. Initially, I was looking for something to 3d print, but then my wife said: you could totally build something like that from scratch! And so I did.

Scratchbuild

Bend some stronger wire into form and glue it unto a 60mm base. I could roughly bend it by hand, but I couldn't make it flush with the surface, so I used UHU glue to fill out the space.

Mix 2:1 milliput and plasticene and cover the wire in putty. Add random lumps here and there.

I regret not taking a picture with the final step. I poured UV resin over the construct and hardened it to make the surface slimy and smooth. It hardened slower than I expected, and the first doze mostly flowed off to the base. I then decided to do smaller increments, gradually covering every surface and adding small lumps on the underside. It hardened but not fully, so I placed it on the windowsill to sunbath for a day. That solved it.

Painting

Repeat the steps on the smaller grey oozes.

Finished!
