Lore says the chaos of magic can liquefy stone and turn it into semi-sentient grey oozes. So a darker grey stone basing does just fine.

Prime Grey Seer. Fill out the base using grey paste.
Coat everything Basilicanum Grey.
Drybrush overall Cold Grey.
Drybrush the tips of the tentacles and the edges of the base Stonewall Grey.
Too chalky. Coat Nuln Oil.
Finished!
