Painting Yuan-ti Broodguard

Simple lizard people. Make them shiny with a metallic undercoat.

Prime Leadbelcher. 

Base 

Base first due to drybrushing. I wanted these guys on a jungle base, but they are way too small for Swamp base. So I went for a more undergrowth-type visual.

Fill out the base.

Coat Cygor Brown.

Coat most of it Goblin Green.

Athonian Camoshade.

Drybrush Dead Flesh.

Drybrush patches of Heavy Goldbrown.

Painting

Take advantage of the metallic undercoat. Plaguebearer Flesh soft parts, Striking Scorpion scales.

Dilute Dark Angels Green and paint the highest points.

A variation on Monstrous mouth due to the mini being small. Paint the interior of the mouth Warlord Purple. Coat Carroburg Crimson. Layer the tongue Warlord Purple. I initially wanted to stop there, but it looked monotone, so spot highlight Squid Pink.
