Painting nun infantry in the black and white of the Benedictines

 

Prime Grey Seer.

Start with the cobblestone to account for drybrushing.

Any weapon emplacements get sandbags for more drybrushing.

Cover the inside of the headgear and the sleeves Apothecary White.

Cover the back of the headgear, the habit and the shoes Black Legion. The trick here is to use one thick coat.

Coat the weapons (and any additional details on the base, such as this ammo crate) Leadbelcher.

Gun casing Black Templar, everything else Nuln Oil Gloss.

Highlight all the metallic surfaces Chainmail Silver.

Paint any simple details, such as this scope lense (Soulstone Blue over Silver).

At this point break out the wet palette.

Highlight the black cloth with a mix of Black and Cold Grey, then Cold Grey, as per Black.

Basecoat the face, hands and legs Heavy Skintone. Use other skintones at your discretion. 

Finish the face and hands using Reikland Fleshshade, Heavy Skintone, then final highlights of mix of Heavy Skintone and Pale Flesh, as per medium skintone. 

Coat the legs Basilicanum Grey. The fleshtone shines through for a passable emulation of stockings. Darker skintones do not require this step.

Highlight the white cloth Dead White.
