Painting WizKids dark elves (Contrast basecoat)

Introduction

Two dark elf wizards from WizKids for D&D.

Contrast basecoats

I primed the miniatures with Munitorum Varnish, then Grey Seer.

I went with purple/blue and purple/red.

Highlights

Go for the usual painting tips:

• Light leather (Contrast)
• Speed painting silver
• Shiny gold
• wood
• simple highlights

Finishing

Spray varnish. Glue the miniatures on bases.

Fill out the bases with Stirland Mud. Drybrush Khaki.

Paint the spell effects such that they contrast with the cloth color (Biel-Tan Green and Gryph Hound Orange, respectively), then cover them in two layers of gloss varnish.
